Today was the day of the U14’s first waterfall match of the new season, against an impressive Horsham first team.

The boys arrived in good time and in good spirit for a quick warm up on the new all-weather pitch at Horsham. The game started at 10:30 and was very intense and exciting to watch.
The first half was very evenly matched and ended at 1-1. The second half started quickly with a disallowed try for Crawley, but then they took it to 2-1 with a great team try. Horsham equalized with a beautiful run along the wing. Two more tries for Crawley took it to 4-2, before Horsham gained a consolation try in the dying seconds of the game. Final score was 4-3 to Crawley. What a great start to their league.

Every boy on both teams played out of their skins, displaying some great skill and passion for the game. Rugby is the winner. It was all rounded off with a burger and a doughnut for the boys in the Horsham club house.
