Preparing for a Historic April

I want everyone training for some of the biggest and most important games the clubs had in years
- Andy Evans

In a strategic move by our coaching team, the Senior Men's Squad will be taking a brief hiatus from training this week. This decision has been made with careful consideration of the physical toll the season has taken on our players, acknowledging the need for rest and recovery to ensure peak performance in the upcoming crucial matches.

April stands out as a monumental month for Crawley Rugby Football Club, with two of the most significant games in our history on the horizon. On April 6th, we face Seaford at home, a match anticipated to be a display of skill, strategy, and the indomitable Crawley spirit. Then, on April 20th, the stage is set for the Cup final at Worthing, a day that promises to be etched in the annals of our club's story.

The break from training is not merely a pause but a calculated strategy to recharge and refocus. It's a time for our players to heal from the bruises and battle scars of the season, to reflect on the journey thus far, and to mentally prepare for the challenges ahead. It's a reminder that sometimes, stepping back is the best way to leap forward.

The coaching team encourages the squad to use this time wisely—rest, recover, and rejuvenate. The path to victory is both physical and mental, and this week offers an invaluable opportunity to strengthen both.

As we look towards April, the excitement builds. These matches are more than just games; they represent the culmination of dedication, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The Crawley RFC family is behind our senior men every step of the way.

To our players, enjoy this brief respite, for the battle cry for April is clear
