Lads & Dads Fixture v Reigate

On Saturday many long held ambitions were realised when fathers and sons took the pitch together for the first time. ultimately Reigate were too strong but that did not detract from the funs and enjoyment had by all. The smiles on the faces said it all. A few players made their senior debut's, Joe Sutherland and Jamie Fletcher both put in some incredible tackles and did not look like they had been away from the game at all. Both players enjoyed a 'debutant pint race' (you're welcome Jamie), although this did reveal that a certain Callum Brown still owes us this spectacle having gone under the radar a few times already this season.

We were also joined by a number of Colts players making their Senior debut, all of whom took the step in their stride, each of them would have been worthy MOM winners, but that honour went to Freddie Leese who scored a try and made some very impressive tackles. Callum Hankin played very calmly under pressure from an experience Reigate No.9, Charlie Renshaw was breaking tackles and making yards and showed a great pair of hands. Callum McCausland emulates his dad when it comes to fearless and aggressive tackling. Chris Miles showed his pace and good instincts for the kick-chase. Tom Ransome was impactful in the back row, clearing out, jackalling and controlling the ball well at the base of the scrum.
