Last year, I spotted a competition through my Quins season ticket for coaches and volunteers to win a hospitality experience. When asked who I’d bring and why, the answer was easy: the incredible coaches and managers who pour their time and heart into our U15 Boys squad. It felt like the perfect way to say "thank you" for everything they do.
Against all odds, we won! Last Saturday, we headed to The Stoop for the Leicester clash as guests of DHL and Quins.
The day was a total whirlwind. We got a "money-can’t-buy" tour of the dressing rooms and media centre before heading pitch-side to soak up the pre-match atmosphere. Our hosts, Liliana and Elizabeth, kept us expertly "fed and watered" in the DHL box, but the real highlight came at half-time: Quins prop Titi Lamositele dropped by! Despite being sidelined with an injury, he brought gifts, shared stories about the pro life, and patiently answered all our geeky rugby questions.
For some of the group, it was their first-ever Premiership game. For me, a season ticket holder of over 20 years, it was a rare and brilliant chance to see the "inner workings" of the club I love. A massive thank you to Quins and DHL for an unforgettable day!
