It is with deep regret that I must inform the membership of the passing of John Hammond on Saturday 22nd October.
Our thoughts are with his wife Ann, daughter Lisa, son Jonathan and the rest of the Hammond family.
John was a life member and played for the club from a young age finishing his playing career at the age of 50.
He held the position of Treasurer and was part of the team who oversaw the moving of Crawley RFC to its present home at Willoughby Fields.
John followed the fortunes of our 1st team once he stopped playing and would be on the touch line for home and away games even though he lived some distance away.

He will be missed by all who new him.

John's Funeral will be held on Thursday 17 November at 15.45 in the East Chapel at Croydon Crematorium, Mitcham Rd, CR9 3AT. It will also be streamed live for people unable to attend or who wish to view it online (Please contact Tony Smith for details nearer the time)
