This remarkable honour—our seventh major award in six years, and fifth at a national level—is a powerful testament to the unwavering commitment, spirit, and hard work shown by every single member of the Crawley family.
This award isn't simply about a single team or result; it recognises the incredible community infrastructure we have built together. It is a win for every coach who dedicates their weekend, every manager who organises the fixtures, every first aider on the sidelines, and most importantly, every single player, from the minis right up to the seniors. The success of our club is fundamentally rooted in the enthusiasm and dedication of our players and their families.
The past six years have seen Crawley RFC flourish into a true community hub. We believe strongly that grassroots rugby is about more than just the sport; it's about developing young people, fostering respect, and building lifelong friendships. This award validates the countless volunteer hours spent nurturing that ethos, ensuring the club provides a welcoming and competitive environment for all who step onto our pitch.
To formally celebrate this magnificent achievement and ensure our young players get the recognition they deserve, we are dedicating this Sunday’s training session as an Award Celebration Day. We will be bringing the magnificent National Club of the Year trophy down to the club pitches, starting at 10:00 AM. Teams across the age groups will have the opportunity to take celebratory photos with the award.
We want every child to see, hold, and be applauded for the part they play in the ongoing success of Crawley RFC. Their energy and commitment are the future of this club. Please come down, join the celebration, and let's honour this historic moment together.
