Crawley Rugby Football Club today announces the resignation of Head Coach, Andy Evans,
The entire club wishes to extend its deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Andy for his tireless work, dedication, and immense contribution to Crawley RFC over his tenure. Andy’s commitment to our players, staff, and the club’s ethos has been exemplary, and his efforts have left an indelible mark on our senior squad. He will be sorely missed by everyone in the team.
“Working with the players at Crawley has been a genuine privilege,” said Andy Evans. “I leave with a heavy heart, but I know the club is in a fantastic position for the future. I wish the whole team the very best for the remainder of the season.”
Leadership Transition
In response to this change, the Committee has acted swiftly to ensure continuity and stability for the senior squad. We are pleased to confirm the immediate appointment of assistant coaches, Simon Dean and Sergio Rodriguez, who will jointly take charge as Head Coaches.
Simon and Sergio have both been integral parts of our coaching structure and possess the knowledge and existing rapport with the squad necessary to guide the team forward. The club has absolute confidence in their ability to lead and inspire the players.
This is a time for unity. The club asks all our members, supporters, and the wider community to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our team and our new leadership duo. Your unwavering support is our greatest strength as we approach the next challenge.
