We want to extend a massive thank you to Mike “Big Goose” Gosling, who is stepping down from his role as Assistant Coach for our Senior Men’s team.
A long-time servant of Crawley RFC, Goose has held numerous roles over the years, always giving his all—whether on the training ground, pitch side, or behind the scenes. As Assistant Coach, he’s been a driving force in the development and spirit of our senior squad, bringing passion, knowledge, and plenty of character to the role.
His voice has been a constant on match days, his experience a steadying influence, and his commitment a brilliant example of what it means to be part of this club.
While Goose is stepping back from official coaching duties, we know his involvement with the club isn’t over. His rugby brain and deep connection to Crawley RFC will always be welcome, and we’re sure he won’t be a stranger.
We’ll announce his successor once Head Coach Andy Evans and Director of Rugby Dee Croft-Webb appoint the right candidate to continue the journey.
For now, we say a big thank you to Big Goose. The legacy you’ve left in this team—and this club—won’t be forgotten.
